Born in Vienna, Austria, in 1923, with advent of the nazies he immigrated to Israel. He was one of the founders of Kibbutz Gesher in the Jorda valley, where he is lived for many years. He studied art Streichman at the Avny Art Institute in Tel-Aviv. Later went to South-America and stayed there for three years, studied at Bellas-Artes in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. Later he went to Paris for further training. His style of painting undergoes a constant change from the lyric-abstract to a more figurative-expressionistic style. In the recent years he has settled in Zefat’s artistic colony where he has to continued to work in the calm atmosphere of the Galilee. Efrony is a member of the Israeli Painters’ and Sculptors’ Association; member of the Artists Colony - Zafat.
